Our estate covers a surface area of 8.40Ha (nearly 21 acres) of Fleurie and Chiroubles appellation vines. The estate buildings themselves are in Fleurie, in the heart of the Beaujolais Cru area.
We chose to put our ‘cadole’ on our labels. This mini house set in the vines used to be used as a shelter for meals and snacks before motor vehicles came into general use. It was also useful to keep tools and wooden stakes dry and close to hand. We chose it because it symbolises the hard work and the long tradition of winemaking in the Beaujolais region, which we aim to perpetuate through our wines.
The engravings below were done by our English friend: Peter. Today we are doubly pleased to have it as a reminder on our labels as the storm in 1999 completely destroyed it.
